We already know plenty of details about Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S26 series. A fresh report now reveals that the 2026 flagship lineup will support satellite connectivity. This means users will be able to send and receive messages even in places without cellular coverage, such as remote areas and mountains.

Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra cleared FCC certification

Samsung’s Galaxy S26 series will include three models: Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. These models have recently cleared FCC (Federal Communications Commission) certification in the US. As spotted by SamMobile, the documents (1, 2, 3) reveal that the Galaxy S26 series will support 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G networks (both Sub-6 GHz and mmWave 5G bands).

The FCC listings also confirm that the phones support Supplemental Coverage from Space (SCS) and Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN) capabilities. These technologies enable smartphones communicate with satellites so you can stay in touch in emergencies when standard cell networks are unavailable. Samsung may use Skylo, a non-terrestrial network service provider, to power satellite messaging on the Galaxy S26 series. It’s unclear whether this feature is for the US or make its way to other countries as well.

Furthermore, the FCC documents reveal that the Galaxy S26 lineup will support Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Near Field Communication (NFC), Ultra-Wideband (UWB), and Wireless Power Transfer (WPT). They also suggest all three models may use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, Qualcomm’s most advanced mobile chip to date, in the US. It is worth mentioning that some markets may get Exynos 2600-powered Galaxy S26 and S26+ models instead.

If rumors are anything to go by, Samsung should debut the Galaxy S26 series on February 25, 2026. It may open the pre-order program on the same day, allowing buyers to secure the new phones early. Don’t forget to take part in the SammyGuru Mystery Box program, which lets you score a bunch of accessories with your Galaxy S26 purchase. These include a phone case, screen protector, cleaning kit, 65W GaN charger, and more.
