The 16GB RAM and 1TB storage variant of Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra may be available more widely than before. According to a trusted leaker, the company plans to offer its most powerful S26 Ultra configuration in additional markets this year. Earlier, the beefed-up Ultra remained confined to a handful of regions.

Leak hints at broader availability of the 16GB + 1TB Galaxy S26 Ultra

Last year, Samsung sold the 16GB + 1TB variant of the Galaxy S25 Ultra in South Korea, China, and select other markets. While the company did offer 1TB of storage in many other regions, the RAM amount topped out at 12GB. Those looking for 16GB of RAM were out of luck. This time, things may change.

Reliable leaker Ahmed Qwaider claims that the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s 16GB RAM and 1TB storage variant will launch in more markets this year. When asked directly, the tipster confirmed that the highest-spec S26 Ultra will be available in Egypt, the country in which he is based. While this doesn’t confirm a full global rollout, it strongly suggests that Samsung is planning to expand availability beyond last year’s limited list.

That said, there’s still no concrete confirmation that Samsung will bring the 16GB Galaxy S26 Ultra to major markets such as the US or Europe. We shall find out in the coming weeks.

With on-device AI workloads, heavy multitasking, and high-resolution video capture becoming more common, a 16GB RAM option is increasingly relevant rather than excessive. However, there’s also a financial reality to consider. Over recent months, prices for DRAM and NAND flash memory chips have risen sharply, increasing costs across the smartphone industry.

As such, the 16GB + 1TB Galaxy S26 Ultra could end up being extremely expensive. Even if Samsung absorbs some of those increases, we may see a noticeable price jump compared to the S25 Ultra. Stick around for more information.
