Samsung Shares Its Vision for Future of TV at CES 2026

Samsung has unveiled its vision for the future of television at CES 2026. The company highlighted how it is redefining the role of the TV in the connected home. The announcement took place at The Wynn Las Vegas during a Visual Display (VD) Deep Dive session led by SW Yong, President of Samsung’s VD Business.
Samsung combines hardware excellence with AI to redefine the TV experience
Samsung continues to focus on integrating next-generation AI into TVs, expanding capabilities while delivering incredible picture quality. At the heart of the company’s new vision is Vision AI Companion (VAC), which makes TVs more intuitive and conversational. VAC can not only understand what viewers are watching but also display helpful information directly on the screen. The company says it can transform the TV from a passive display into an active participant in day-to-day life.
Aside from AI, Samsung is also advancing its hardware with next-generation display technologies. For example, the company recently launched the world’s first 130-inch Micro RGB TV to bring large-screen home entertainment. In 2026, the company’s Visual Display business will focus on premium innovations. Micro RGB and OLED will lead the high-end TV segment, while mini LED will make premium TV technology more accessible. Likewise, ultra-large screens will create a more immersive experience in a living room.
This approach will allow Samsung to bring cutting-edge screen technology to more consumers, strengthening its standing for performance and innovation. “We are currently experiencing a transformation in the way viewers enjoy the television experience, shifting from one centered on viewing to one based on direct interaction with users,” said President Yong. “As television evolves, Samsung is continuing to earn its leadership role year after year by building on its legacy of hardware excellence.”
Basically, Samsung wants to merge hardware excellence with intelligent, connected experiences. As such, the company will succeed in creating TVs that not only deliver superior picture quality but are also smarter in everyday life.
