Samsung Launches The Freestyle+ Projector with AI Screen Optimization

Samsung has launched The Freestyle+, its next-gen portable projector, ahead of CES 2026. The projector features AI-powered screen optimization and improved brightness, making viewing easier across a wide range of spaces. The company plans to make it available globally in the first half of the year.
The Freestyle+ redefines portable projection through intelligent screen optimization
Building on the original Freestyle’s design, The Freestyle+ brings a personalized entertainment experience while reducing the need for manual setup and adjustment. Thanks to AI OptiScreen technology, you can place the projector, point it at a wall or ceiling, and start watching almost immediately.
AI OptiScreen is a suite of intelligent features, including 3D Auto Keystone, Real-time Focus, Screen Fit, and Wall Calibration. 3D Auto Keystone corrects image distortion when projecting onto uneven surfaces, while Real-time Focus maintains image sharpness as the projector moves or rotates. Likewise, Screen Fit automatically sizes the image to match compatible projector screens. As for Wall Calibration, it minimizes visual distractions on different wall types.

The Freestyle+ offers 430 ISO lumens to boost brightness dramatically (nearly twice as bright as the previous model). The projector features a compact cylindrical shape that is easy to carry and move between rooms. Thanks to the 180-degree rotating design, it supports projection onto walls, floors, or ceilings. This eliminates the need for additional mounts or accessories.
The Freestyle+ provides built-in access to Samsung TV Plus and Samsung Gaming Hub. This means you can stream movies and shows or explore the cloud game library without the need for external devices. Meanwhile, a built-in 360-degree speaker delivers richer, fuller audio in a compact design. Q-Symphony lets the projector and compatible soundbar play nicely for a more immersive audio experience. Samsung will present the new projector at CES 2026, running from January 6 to 9 in Las Vegas.
“By combining true portability with intelligent AI that optimizes both the viewing environment and the content itself, The Freestyle+ makes it easier to enjoy a consistent, high-quality experience wherever you are,” said Hun Lee, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics
