Galaxy Z TriFold Sold Out in Minutes for the Second Time in a Week

Samsung’s Galaxy Z TriFold is off to a blistering start, at least in its home market. The new tri-fold continues to fly off shelves in South Korea, selling out almost instantly each time stock becomes available. After disappearing within minutes at launch, the device has now sold out for the second time in a single week, underscoring just how strong demand remains.
Galaxy Z TriFold’s second stock sold out in two minutes
The Galaxy Z TriFold first went on sale in South Korea on December 12. Hundreds of people lined up outside 20 retail stores where the device was available, waiting hours to get their hands on this ambitious foldable. However, Samsung has limited stock available, and the phone sold out within minutes. The company later confirmed that the device would be restocked this week, giving hopeful buyers another chance.
However, that chance didn’t last long either. As sales reopened today, the Galaxy Z TriFold once again sold out online in just two minutes. The same story played out offline as inventory disappeared shortly after doors opened. Part of the frenzy is likely driven by very limited availability. Reports suggest Samsung has prepared only 3,000 units of the device for South Korea in the initial production run.
Nonetheless, this rapid sellout suggests that demand for Samsung’s first tri-fold phone remains extremely strong in its home market. The company plans to release additional inventory next month but hasn’t shared an exact date yet, leaving prospective buyers once again waiting and watching. Hopefully, it’ll prepare a bigger stock this time.
The Galaxy Z TriFold will also launch in China, Singapore, Taiwan, the UAE, and the USA in the coming weeks. If early sales in South Korea are any indication, the device could face supply challenges elsewhere as well, especially if production remains tightly controlled.
