You may already know that Ferrari has made, and continues to make, some of the best cars in the world. These cars now come with screens that are impossible to ignore, and there are multiple factors one needs to weigh when securing a partnership. In that vein, Ferrari has confirmed that its future models will use OLED displays supplied by Samsung Display.

Ferrari turns to Samsung Display for its next in-car OLED screens

Ferrari says it chose Samsung Display after testing different display technologies for upcoming vehicles. The deciding factors were size, weight, and flexibility. OLED panels can be thinner and lighter than traditional screens, making them easier to integrate into a tightly designed cabin. Ferrari believes this helps modernize its interiors without compromising the clean, performance-focused layout.

“Samsung Display’s extensive expertise in designing and manufacturing thin, lightweight OLED panels was a clear plus in advancing the digital environment within Ferrari’s next-generation models,” Ernesto Lasalandra, Ferrari’s chief research and development officer, is quoted as saying in a Chosun report.

The new OLED panels will allow Ferrari to offer more customized screen designs. Rather than using standard rectangular displays, the company can create layouts that better match the dashboard and the driver’s needs. Ferrari says this improves usability while keeping the cabin visually balanced.

Meanwhile, Zin-U Pak, head of Samsung Display’s Europe business team, said, “Ferrari and Samsung Display share a similar mindset of pushing beyond limits, constantly learning and setting new industry standards. When two teams aiming for the top collaborate, powerful synergies are created. Through this partnership we will provide superior value to consumers and further solidify Samsung Display’s position as a leader in next-generation display innovation.”
