Galaxy Z TriFold Back in Stock Following Minutes-Long Sellout in Korea

The Galaxy Z TriFold is currently available in only two markets: China and Korea. More importantly, it sold out within minutes of being listed, despite its premium price tag. Now, however, Korean media reports that the Galaxy Z TriFold is back in stock, both online and in physical stores.

It’s no surprise that Samsung phones are so popular in South Korea. After all, that’s the company’s home turf. On top of that, this is Samsung’s first attempt at launching a trifold device, and first-generation products usually draw more attention than later iterations.

Now that the Galaxy Z TriFold is back on sale, those who previously missed out have another chance to secure one. It’s still baffling that, despite its premium price tag, the Galaxy Z TriFold managed to sell out within minutes. That may be due to just how limited the device actually is.

According to supply chain reports from last month, Samsung was producing only about 20,000 to 30,000 units of the Galaxy Z TriFold. To put that into perspective, that’s far fewer than what Samsung planned for the original Galaxy Z Fold. Another possibility is that Korean consumers are genuinely excited to try out a new form factor. In fact, people were lining up at stores just to get a closer look at the new foldable.

Having that said, Samsung will gradually roll out the Galaxy Z TriFold in more markets, including the US. It will also be available in the UAE, Taiwan, and Singapore. For now, Europe and the UK are not part of the initial rollout, but that could change. We’ll be sure to share an update if there’s any official confirmation.
