Samsung Launches One UI 8.5 Beta: Eligible Countries and Devices

Samsung has officially kicked off One UI 8.5 Beta for the Galaxy S25 series. Now, some of you might be wondering if this beta program will reach your Galaxy phone. Here’s the full list of devices and countries participating in the initial rollout.
Where is Samsung’s One UI 8.5 Beta available?
Based on Android 16, One UI 8.5 will debut with the Galaxy S26 series in the first quarter of 2026. This beta program gives Galaxy users an early opportunity to test-drive the next major One UI release before it rolls out publicly. As always, the beta not only provides early access to new features and design changes but also lets users submit feedback to help Samsung refine and stabilize the software ahead of the final release.
However, it remains restricted to select markets and devices, continuing Samsung’s controlled approach to large-scale testing. The initial rollout only covers the USA, the UK, South Korea, and Germany. Samsung has also confirmed beta releases for the Galaxy S25 series in India and Poland, but additional markets aren’t expected.
To participate, users will need a local SIM card from an eligible country, a Samsung account signed in on the device, and the Samsung Members app to register. Once registered, the beta update will arrive as a software release. Users can share bug reports and feedback through the same app.
Not many devices are eligible
If the list of supported countries feels limited, the device list is even narrower. In the initial phase, Samsung is restricting One UI 8.5 Beta access to just three models: the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra. Even the Galaxy S25 FE and S25 Edge miss out.
The good news is that Samsung may expand the beta to more devices in the coming weeks. While the S25 FE and S25 Edge are unlikely to be added, One UI 8.5 Beta could eventually reach the Galaxy S24 series and Samsung’s recent foldables. For now, that remains speculation, as nothing has been officially confirmed. We’ll share updates as soon as more information becomes available.
