Samsung Releases November 2025 Update for Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Flip 3

Samsung has already pushed its November 2025 security update for a bunch of Galaxy devices. Now, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 join the party, bringing important security fixes for newly discovered vulnerabilities. While both foldables are no longer part of the monthly security program, the company continues to provide quarterly patches.
Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 pick up the November 2025 security update
As of now, Samsung has released the latest security patch for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 in South Korea, while the Galaxy Z Flip 3 has received it in India and South Korea. The update should reach more regions, including the United States, in the coming weeks. The patch’s build version ends with KYK1.
The November 2025 security update focuses on improving device security and does not contain any new features. It fixes 45 security vulnerabilities reported by Samsung, Google, and other partners. For example, the update fixes an out-of-bounds write issue in the fingerprint trustlet. It also resolves an insecure default configuration in USB connection mode.
Launched in August 2021, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 have already received their final major OS upgrade, Android 15-based One UI 7. While these devices won’t get new features, Samsung’s quarterly security updates aim to protect users from the latest threats while maintaining device stability.
To install the November 2025 security update on either the Z Fold 3 or Z Flip 3, head over to Settings> Software update> Download and install. If the update is not yet available on your device, wait for a few days. You may also receive a notification once the update hits your device, so keep an eye on it.
Meanwhile, if you are planning to upgrade your foldables, the newly released Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 could be a solid pick. Both are the company’s most advanced foldables to date, with a slimmer and lighter design than their predecessors.
