Finally! Stable One UI 8 Watch Update Reaches Galaxy Watch 6 Series

Shortly after closing the One UI 8 Watch beta program for the Galaxy Watch 6, Samsung has begun rolling out the stable update. It’s not available everywhere yet, and the full rollout will take some time. For now, the stable update for the Galaxy Watch 6 series is rolling out only in Samsung’s home turf.
Samsung blesses Galaxy Watch 6, Galaxy Watch 6 Classic with One UI 8 Watch stable
As spotted by Alfatürk on X, Samsung has started rolling out the One UI 8 Watch stable update to the Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic in Korea. The build version is R960XXU1CYK2. Those in Korea with a Galaxy Watch 6 series device can download the update right away by opening the Galaxy Wearable app and navigating to Watch settings > Watch software update > Download and install.

One UI 8 Watch first debuted on the latest Galaxy Watch 8 series and the Galaxy Watch (2025). Weeks later, the Galaxy Watch 7 received the update, and now it’s finally making its way to the Galaxy Watch 6 lineup as well. The update delivers a range of new additions to smartwatches, including new gestures, charging effects, the Now Bar, new watch faces, and more.
It also introduces redesigned icons, updated widgets, and several other UI improvements. A new grid-style app drawer joins the traditional list view for easier navigation. Message notifications now stack and can be cleared with a double-pinch gesture, which also works for scrolling, music controls, and photo navigation. Samsung Health receives Bedtime Guidance, a smarter Running Coach, and expanded mindfulness features.
