Samsung has teamed up with Emma Grede and Mark Cuban for this year’s Solve for Tomorrow program. They aim to inspire students to use science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) to solve real-world issues in their communities. The partnership will elevate the importance of AI for the next generation while highlighting how technology can make a positive difference.

Samsung’s Solve for Tomorrow puts a spotlight on AI education

Samsung’s research shows that while 81% of teachers worry students might rely too much on AI, most educators (88%) agree that AI will be important for students’ futures. However, over half of teachers (53%) say they have had no formal training on using AI in the classroom. Moreover, 70% of teachers said they would be more open to using AI if they saw it supporting communities and creating social good.

Samsung, in partnership with the Mark Cuban Foundation, aims to combat this gap by offering free AI training for teachers across the country. As ambassadors for Solve for Tomorrow, Grede and Cuban will champion AI, emerging technology, and mentorship among students nationwide. They will host an AI bootcamp to help students and educators understand the benefits of AI.

For the uninitiated, Samsung’s Solve for Tomorrow program encourages students in grades 6-12 to apply STEM skills to real-world challenges. So far, the program has provided US schools more than $29 million in classroom technology and resources. The company is now encouraging classrooms to apply for this year’s Solve for Tomorrow competition (last date November 24, 2025).

“As AI transforms the workplace at unprecedented speed, it’s vital to ensure students across the country are not only exposed to the technologies that are changing the world but also have opportunities to explore them with guidance and mentorship,” said Emma Grede, CEO and co-founder of Good American and founding partner of Skims. Meanwhile, Mark Cuban, a serial entrepreneur, said, “Through my foundation’s partnership with Samsung Solve for Tomorrow, students gain the tools and encouragement they need to shape the world around them.”
