Galaxy Tab S9 FE Series, Galaxy M53 Receiving One UI 8 Update in India

Samsung continues to roll out the One UI 8 update to Galaxy devices across more regions. Many models have already received it, while some are still getting the update in select areas. Most recently, the Galaxy Tab S9 FE series and the Galaxy M53 have begun receiving the One UI 8 update in India. Notably, the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and its sibling first started getting the Android 16 update a few days ago in South Korea.

Samsung rolls out One UI 8 update to Galaxy M53 and Galaxy Tab S9 FE series

As shared by Mohammed Khatri on X, Samsung has begun rolling out the One UI 8 update to the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ in India. In addition, a user on the Samsung community forum confirmed that the Galaxy M53 5G has also started receiving the update in India.

The build versions are X510XXU8DYJ4 for the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and M536BXXUBGYJ4 for the Galaxy M53 5G. The update sizes are around 2.75GB and 2.67GB, respectively. Unfortunately, both devices are bundled with the September 2025 security patch, which is a bit disappointing considering the November update has already started rolling out.

If you own either of these devices, you might want to grab the latest update. To do this, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. The download may take a while, and once it’s complete, tap Install now. Your device will reboot and start up running One UI 8.

Meanwhile, Samsung has also begun work on its next major release, which will mark the return of the “x.5” updates. Both of these devices are expected to receive One UI 8.5, but that won’t be landing anytime soon.
