Samsung May Launch Galaxy Chromebook 3 360 Soon

It looks like Samsung is developing a new convertible Chromebook. Dubbed the Galaxy Chromebook 3 360, this device recently showed up on an official portal. It’s unclear when the company plans to release it to the market, though its appearance suggests that a formal launch is just around the corner.
Samsung may introduce a new convertible Chromebook
In March 2022, Samsung launched the Galaxy Chromebook 2 360 with a convertible hinge. It features a 2-in-1 design that works as both a laptop and a tablet. That means you can type up reports in laptop style, then flip the screen to use it like a tablet for drawing on the touchscreen. Thanks to its slim and lightweight build, you can easily carry it in a backpack wherever you go.
After more than three years, the company wants to refresh its convertible Chromebook. As spotted by Chrome Unboxed, an update policy page clearly mentions the name Galaxy Chromebook 3 360 with eligibility for automatic software updates until June 2035. This suggests that it will succeed the Galaxy Chromebook 2 360, retaining the same convertible design.

Unfortunately, the listing didn’t mention any key details of the Galaxy Chromebook 3 360. Chrome Unboxed expects that the device might feature Intel’s processor, such as the Core 3-N355, N250, or N150. It could also come with 4GB or 8GB of RAM to handle basic tasks like browsing, document editing, and streaming videos. Whether the company retains the 12.4-inch WQXGA touchscreen or integrates a larger screen in the next-gen model remains to be seen.
The company may position the Galaxy Chromebook 3 360 as an entry-level Chromebook catering to students and casual users. To recall, Galaxy Chromebook 2 360 launched with a starting price of around $429 in the US, so Samsung may set a similar or slightly lower price for the refreshed model to attract budget-conscious buyers. We’ll let you know if more details surface in the coming weeks.
