Samsung seems to be putting in extra hours these days, rolling out the One UI 8 update to a host of devices in India. Most recently, two budget-friendly phones, the Galaxy M36 5G and Galaxy F36 5G, have received the One UI 8 update in the country. They join several other Galaxy devices that got the Android 16 update earlier this week.

As spotted by Mohammed Khatri, Samsung is now rolling out the Android 16-based One UI 8 update to the Galaxy M36 5G and Galaxy F36 5G in India. The build versions in question are E366BXXU2BYI4 for the Galaxy F36 and M366BXXUZBYI3 for the Galaxy M36. For both devices, the update weighs in at around 2.3GB and includes the September 2025 security patch.

If you own either of these devices, you can go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Once the update is downloaded, tap Install now. After installation, your device will restart and boot up with One UI 8. There are plenty of new features to enjoy, and you may want to explore what’s available if this is your first time trying it out.

At the same time, Samsung is already working on the next big update, One UI 8.5. It is expected to debut alongside the next Galaxy S26 series, which is set to arrive early next year. While there is still some time before that release, we have already had a sneak peek at the upcoming changes. There will be several visual updates as well as new features. You can check out all the changes in a 30-minute hands-on video where we talk One UI 8.5.
