Galaxy S24 Snapdragon Facing Jio 5G Issues? Try This Workaround

Samsung’s Galaxy S24 series has been popular in India since its launch in January 2024. The Galaxy S24 and S24+ came with the Exynos 2400, while the Ultra had the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Many people had been hoping for the Snapdragon version, which was available in other regions, and it’s only recently arrived in India.
The Galaxy S24 with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 seems to have a Jio problem
During Flipkart’s Big Billion Days sale, Samsung introduced the Galaxy S24 with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in India. The phone now comes at INR 39,999 for the base variant, almost half the original price of the Exynos version. This lower price and improved performance attracted a large number of buyers.
However, some early owners of the Snapdragon-powered Galaxy S24 have reported issues with 5G connectivity on the Jio network (h/t Abhishek Yadav). Some users say their phones are connecting only to 4G+, even when other devices nearby can access 5G. The problem seems to affect only Jio users, and not everyone is facing it. Posts across forums and comment sections confirm the issue.
Try this workaround for Jio 5G issues on your Snapdragon Galaxy S24
One user in WeTube Network’s comment section suggested a workaround for those still facing Jio 5G issues on the Galaxy S24. Insert the SIM into another 5G-compatible phone and activate 5G there. After putting the SIM back into the Galaxy S24, Jio 5G should start working. We don’t have the unit on hand to verify this, but several comment replies claim it works.
Samsung has recently started rolling out the One UI 8 update, which may include fixes for the connectivity problem. If this workaround doesn’t help, Samsung should look into the matter and resolve it as soon as possible. Rest assured, we’ll keep you updated if Samsung provides a solution or releases an update.
