Samsung Begins Global Stable One UI 8 Rollout for Galaxy S24 FE

Samsung’s Android 16-based One UI 8 update is making its way to a bunch of Galaxy devices. The Galaxy S24 FE is now picking up the update in Europe, bringing a host of new features and improvements to the system. The company should push the update to other regions, including the US, in the coming days.

Galaxy S24 FE One UI 8 stable update goes global

Samsung is giving its quasi-flagship Galaxy S24 FE the same treatment as the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra in terms of software updates. Earlier this week, the Galaxy S24 trio received the One UI 8 update in Korea, and today, its global rollout began, starting in the UK. Now, the 2024 FE model has begun its global rollout journey, picking up the latest update outside South Korea.

In Europe, the Galaxy S24 FE has received the update with firmware version CYI5. The update weighs in at over 3GB and comes with the September 2025 security patch. This ensures that users not only get the latest features but also improved system security. While One UI 8 is not as big an upgrade as One UI 7, it mainly focuses on bringing quality-of-life improvements, along with some refinements to the system.

With One UI 8, you get an enhanced AI experience with smarter tools that make daily life easier. The most notable addition is the Now brief, a personalised briefing feature that shows selected content throughout the day. Apart from improving the Galaxy AI experience, Samsung brings meaningful full upgrades to Quick Share, Reminder, and more.

However, as mentioned above, so far the update has reached Korean and European units of the Galaxy S24 FE. We will let you know when Samsung expands the rollout to other regions.
