One UI 8 Available for Non-Beta Galaxy S24 Units, Including S24 FE

Samsung is rapidly expanding the reach of its One UI 8 update, based on Android 16. After the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Flip 6, and Fold SE, the update is now widely available for the Galaxy S24 series, including the S24 FE. The rollout begins in Korea, but it should soon hit other regions.
Galaxy S24’s One UI 8 update expands to non-beta users
A few hours ago, Samsung rolled out the stable One UI 8 update for Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra units running the beta version of One UI 8. The company has now pushed the update to devices still on One UI 7, with the Galaxy S24 FE also joining the party (the FE model didn’t get beta updates).
The build version differs slightly by model, but the overall content remains largely the same. While the Galaxy S24 FE may miss out on a handful of features, it still inherits most of the core additions introduced with One UI 8. Surprisingly, the update also includes the new Now Brief feature, giving S24 FE users access to personalized updates and essential information right on the lock screen.
Besides Now Brief, One UI 8 brings a blend of refinement, personalization, and AI-powered intelligence to Galaxy devices. It focuses on smoother animations, cleaner menus, and reorganized settings that make everyday navigation more fluid. While not a radical redesign, One UI 8 continues Samsung’s steady evolution, streamlining the Galaxy experience while adding subtle but meaningful touches that improve both usability and style.
Samsung is now expected to roll out the Android 16-based update to more devices, with the Galaxy S23, Fold 5, and Flip 5 likely the next in the pipeline. Mid-range models like the Galaxy A56, A55, and A35 should also soon receive One UI 8. Users can check for updates from Settings > Software update > Download and install.
