Samsung has started rolling out the fourth One UI 8 Watch beta update for the Galaxy Watch 7, giving users a fresh round of enhancements. This release, which comes with firmware build number ZYI2 and weighs in at about 180MB, could be the last beta before the stable version. The Wear OS 6-based update is expected to roll out widely later this month.

Galaxy Watch 7 gets its fourth One UI 8 Watch beta

This update bundles Samsung’s September 2025 security patch, boosting the Galaxy Watch 7’s protection against potential vulnerabilities. But the highlight of this release is health and workout tracking. Samsung has refined activity monitoring, this time focusing on running and swimming accuracy.

These tweaks build on improvements introduced with Beta 3 just over a week ago, which fixed GPS recognition, charging issues, and added better accuracy to hiking routes. More importantly, the Galaxy Watch 7 is now a step closer to the stable One UI 8 Watch update. Samsung has already released the stable version to the Galaxy Watch Ultra (2024), while the Watch Ultra (2025) and Watch 8 series ship with One UI 8 Watch out of the box.

As with earlier beta builds, South Korea is the first market to receive the latest beta update. Samsung is expected to expand availability to the United States in the coming days. Galaxy Watch 7 owners enrolled in the One UI 8 Watch Beta Program can check for the new update by opening the Galaxy Wearable app on their paired phone, heading to Watch settings > Watch software update, and selecting Download and install.

Samsung has also announced Beta programs for older models like the Galaxy Watch 6 and Watch 5. However, it has yet to roll out beta updates for those models. Hopefully, the company won’t keep users waiting for long. We will let you know when the update arrives.
