Samsung’s latest flagship Galaxy S series continues to get solid responses from customers around the world. Thanks to its cutting-edge AI features, powerful processor, pro-grade camera, the Galaxy S25 series has crossed 22 million units in sales in just six months. The new phones outsold their predecessors by two million units during the same period. In addition, the newly released Galaxy S25 Edge has reached the milestone of 1 million units sold.

Galaxy S25 series continues to see strong demand worldwide

A few weeks ago, we learned that the Galaxy S25 series (excluding the Edge model) sold 19.57 million units through the end of June. As of the end of July, total global sales increased to 22.7 million units, indicating continued strong demand. Samsung achieved this figure within just six months after its release — the company began selling its S25 models in early February.

Breaking down the numbers, the base Galaxy S25 sold 7.22 million units while the Plus model reached 4.5 million units. As for the Ultra model, it sold 10.98 million units. Unsurprisingly, these figures show the increasing popularity of the most expensive Galaxy S25 Ultra.

After all, it features Qualcomm’s most advanced Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chip, a large 6.9-inch display, a 5,000 mAh battery, and a powerful 200MP camera. This makes it the top pick for users who want flagship performance, a full day lasting battery, and incredible photography in a single device. In comparison, the Galaxy S24 series achieved sales of 20.8 million units during its first six months. The base model sold 6.5 million units, the Plus variant 4.17 million units, and the Ultra model 10.13 million units. This shows that the Galaxy S25 series has not only outpaced its predecessor (by around 1.9 million units) but also set a new benchmark for the flagship lineup.

In May this year, Samsung also introduced an Edge model in its Galaxy S25 lineup. The Galaxy S25 Edge reached global sales of 1.01 million units by the end of July. It is the company’s slimmest flagship smartphone, measuring just 5.8 mm thick, while still offering powerful features.
