Samsung has reportedly released an update for its messaging app for the Galaxy S25 series in South Korea. The update brings a new bubble emoji feature to make conversations more expressive. The new build may expand to the global market in the coming weeks.

Samsung Messages makes chats more fun with bubble emojis

Earlier this year, Samsung confirmed that it is discontinuing its Messages app. It even made Google Messages the default texting app on its Galaxy S25 series. However, the company appears to be keeping its own app alive for a few more years, as it now gains a new feature. X user @herjy6372 said that the Korean firm has introduced the bubble emoji feature for the latest Galaxy S flagships in South Korea.

The new feature automatically adds emojis that match the message to the text bubble. As you can see in the image below, three emojis showed up around the chat bubble — one at the top and the other two at the bottom. This will allow users to express messages in a more fun way.

To check if the feature has activated automatically, head over to the app settings and look for the bubble emoji option. From there, you can toggle it on or off according to your preference. If you enable it, the app should display emojis around your messages within the chat bubbles.

However, as of now, it is unclear whether Samsung will bring this feature to other Galaxy devices and regions. Things should become clearer in the coming days. What you can do right now is keep an eye on the Galaxy Store’s update page. If the Korean firm makes it available for your device or region, you will be able to download the latest version of the Messages app and start using the bubble emoji feature right away.
