Samsung has begun rolling out the third One UI 8 Watch beta update (Beta 3) for the Galaxy Watch 7. The new build tackles key issues reported by testers, bringing the Wear OS 6-based software a step closer to stability. The big new update is expected to graduate to its official release in September.

Introduced with the Galaxy Watch 8 series, One UI 8 Watch brings a host of new health-focused features, including more accurate sleep tracking, refined heart rate zones, and tailored fitness recommendations. Beyond health, the update delivers a cleaner, faster interface with smoother animations, smarter layout organization, and more intuitive tiles for easier navigation.

The new build, carrying version ZYHA, is initially rolling out in South Korea and will soon expand to the US (the beta program isn’t available anywhere else).  According to the official changelog, the latest beta release focuses on ironing out bugs and improving reliability. Samsung has patched issues with GPS recognition that caused delays in location tracking when resuming exercise after a pause.

The One UI 8 Watch Beta 3 for the Galaxy Watch 7 also improves the accuracy of the hiking route feature, ensuring more precise insights and route data during outdoor activities. Additionally, it patches a charging glitch that caused the screen to remain in standby while charging on a tilted dock, leading to unnecessary battery drain.

Alongside these functional improvements, this update also includes the August 2025 security patch. Samsung has already rolled out the latest security fixes to Galaxy Watch 7 users who didn’t participate in the beta program or are not eligible for it. This suggests the company is gearing up to release the stable One UI 8 Watch update globally. It could arrive over the next few weeks — stay tuned for more.
