Samsung Hints at Galaxy A17 5G Launching in India on August 29

Samsung has officially confirmed a new Galaxy A phone is coming to India. Samsung India shared a registration link on X for what looks like the Galaxy A17 5G. It is set to launch on August 29. This follows the phone’s official debut in Taiwan just a few days ago.

Samsung opens registration for the Galaxy A17 5G in India

Samsung is bringing the Galaxy A17 5G to India, and we already spotted a clue on the registration page. One of the image files’ metadata mentions “Galaxy A1x,” which lines up with earlier leaks. However, Samsung doesn’t explicitly name the A17.

You can now register for the Galaxy A17 5G on Samsung India. Enter your name, email, mobile number, and pin code, and Samsung will notify you on launch day. Over a week ago, tipster Abhishek Yadav shared what looks like promo material for the upcoming Galaxy A17 5G. It shows that Samsung will include a 25W charging brick in the box.

The same tipster also revealed pricing: the base 6GB + 128GB model could sell for INR 18,999. Meanwhile, the 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB variants may cost INR 20,499 and INR 23,499. You can expect bank offers and launch promotions when Samsung releases the Galaxy A17 5G in India on August 29.

The Galaxy A17 5G runs on the Exynos 1330 octa-core processor. It features a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7. Samsung offers storage up to 256GB, with 128GB models paired with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM.

On the camera side, Samsung equips the phone with a 50MP main shooter, a 5MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro sensor. Plus, it has a 13MP front-facing camera. Power comes from a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support.
