Samsung recently confirmed plans to launch the Galaxy S25 FE early, though it stopped short of revealing an exact date. Now, a new report out of South Korea claims the next Fan Edition device will go official on September 19, at least in the domestic market. Last year’s Galaxy S24 FE was announced on September 26, with sales starting a week later on October 3.

Korean media reveals the Galaxy S25 FE’s launch date

Samsung’s Fan Edition lineup is set to expand with the upcoming launch of the Galaxy S25 FE. While earlier reports hinted at a debut sometime in September or early October, a new report from FNNews is the first to mention a specific date. Interestingly, the report cites September 19 as the release date, not the announcement. Samsung could unveil the device even earlier and begin sales on that day in South Korea.

The Galaxy S25 FE is expected to launch globally, including in the US. However, the device could arrive later in some markets. It should continue the tradition of a well-balanced mix of flagship specs and affordable price. Leaks suggest a 6.7-inch OLED display, Exynos 2400 chipset, upgraded 12MP selfie camera, 4,500mAh battery, upgraded 45W fast charging, and a thinner and lighter design. Despite the upgrades, Samsung may keep the price unchanged, which means a starting price of $649.

This model will be the fifth device in the Galaxy S25 lineup, joining the Galaxy S25, S25+, S25 Ultra, and the Galaxy S25 Edge, making it one of the broadest Samsung smartphone lines. The company may streamline things a bit next year. It may drop the Galaxy S26+ and integrate the Edge into the main lineup. The base model may also be called the Galaxy S26 Pro. Stay tuned for more information about the Galaxy S25 FE and the Galaxy S26 series.
