Samsung Announces One UI 8 Beta Expansion — Full List of Eligible Devices

After a slow progress in the first two months, Samsung is all geared up for a wider release of its Android 16-based One UI 8 beta program. The company has now confirmed that it’s expanding the beta program beyond the Galaxy S25 series, with a few mid-range models also getting beta updates. Here’s the full list of eligible devices.
Full list of Galaxy devices getting Samsung’s One UI 8 beta updates
Starting next week, the One UI 8 beta will be made available to users of the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Flip 6, and Galaxy Z Fold 6 in India, South Korea, the USA, and the UK. Samsung has also revealed that several other devices will join the beta program in the weeks that follow. We have listed them all below:
- Galaxy S24, S24+, S24 Ultra
- Galaxy Z Fold 6, Flip 6
- Galaxy S23, S23+, S23 Ultra
- Galaxy Z Fold 5, Flip 5
- Galaxy Tab S10+, Tab S10 Ultra
- Galaxy A55, A54
- Galaxy A36, A35
Interestingly, there’s no mention of the Galaxy A56, which was launched recently. It remains unclear whether Samsung will add it to the beta roster later or skip it entirely for testing purposes. We aren’t quite hopeful, though. Note that the A56 recently arrived in the US, several months after its global launch.
Nonetheless, this is the first major announcement from Samsung regarding One UI 8 since it kicked off the beta program for the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra a couple of months ago. The company launched the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7, and Flip 7 FE last month with One UI 8 onboard, but said nothing about its expansion to other models.
If your Galaxy phone is eligible and you’re located in a supported country, signing up is easy:
- Download and open the Samsung Members app
- Sign in using the same Samsung Account linked to your phone
- Tap the One UI 8 Beta Program banner when it appears
- Register your device for the beta
Once you’ve enrolled, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install to grab the beta build. After installation, your phone will reboot, and you’ll be running One UI 8. As far as the stable build is concerned, Samsung expects to begin the rollout in September. We will keep you posted as the company shares more information or rolls out beta updates for additional devices.
