Samsung Wallet Now Lets You Fund Your Coinbase Account

Samsung is making it easier for users in the US to buy cryptocurrency on their phones. The company announced a partnership with Coinbase to simplify crypto purchases for users in the US and Canada. Starting this week, select users can use Samsung Pay within the Samsung Wallet app to fund their Coinbase accounts. A broader rollout is expected in the coming weeks.

Coinbase is adding support to pay via Samsung Wallet

Samsung Wallet combines Samsung Pay and Samsung Pass into one app. It already handles mobile payments, digital IDs, car and house keys, and more. Now, it’s gaining support for cryptocurrency through a new integration with Coinbase.

If you use Coinbase on a Samsung phone, adding funds to your crypto account just got simpler. You can now open Samsung Wallet, use Samsung Pay, and transfer money directly into Coinbase without extra steps or switching between apps.

Security is a key part of this integration. Samsung Wallet is protected by Samsung Knox, the company’s security platform. Knox isolates sensitive data such as payment information to prevent unauthorized access and keep your transactions safe from hackers.
