Galaxy S26 Ultra Leak Reveals Slimmer, Lighter Design with Larger Display

The Galaxy S26 Ultra continues to make headlines with a new round of leaks, this time focused on its design evolution. A reliable source has shared new details about how Samsung is refining the S Ultra formula. It isn’t making drastic changes, but some thoughtful, high-precision upgrades that make the device sleeker, lighter, and possibly better to hold and use. This comes amid rumors of a charging boost and battery upgrades.
Galaxy S26 Ultra has a larger screen, slimmer bezels, and a thinner and lighter body
According to Ice Universe, the Galaxy S26 Ultra will be under 8mm thick, making it slimmer than the S25 Ultra (8.2mm). It will also have a lighter body compared to the 2025 model, which weighs 218 grams. This is despite a slightly taller and wider profile. To recall, the S25 Ultra is 162.8mm tall and 77.6mm wide. These changes also allow for a marginally larger display, now allegedly meaning 6.89 inches instead of 6.86 inches.
This improvement will be achieved by shrinking the bezels, likely made possible by a new display assembly that integrates the waterproofing layer directly into the panel structure. This technology debuted with the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and could now make its way to Samsung’s mainline flagships.
While the Galaxy S26 Ultra may not look radically different from the outside, these minor design refinements could greatly add to its overall aesthetic. Samsung is making subtle yet meaningful changes that enhance usability and polish. With a thinner profile, lighter body, nearly bezel-less screen, and new display tech, the S26 Ultra could feel like one of the most refined Galaxy flagships to date.
The same source previously revealed faster wired charging support, jumping from 45W to 60W. While the battery capacity may remain unchanged, Samsung could introduce some structural changes and enhanced optimization to improve battery life. More details about the Galaxy S26 Ultra could surface in the coming weeks.
