One UI 8 Watch Stable Update Now Available for Galaxy Watch Ultra

Shortly after closing the beta program, Samsung has begun a wide rollout of the One UI 8 Watch stable update for Galaxy Watch Ultra users in the US. The stable release is now available to all users across major carriers like AT&T, Google Fi, and T-Mobile. The beta program was exclusive to T-Mobile users.

The new update, based on Wear OS 6, brings Samsung’s most refined smartwatch software experience to date. With the beta program now closed for the Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025) and the stable version rolling out to non-beta users, it’s clear Samsung is confident the platform is ready for broader adoption. Users are receiving the build version ending in BYFE, the same build pushed to final beta testers.
Note that Samsung’s One UI 8 Watch beta program is still live for the Galaxy Watch 7. In fact, the company hasn’t yet closed the beta program for the Watch Ultra in Korea, the only other market outside the US where beta updates were released. Hopefully, the stable release won’t see longer delays, at least in these two markets. This would pave the way for a global rollout in the coming days.
One UI 8 Watch introduces a number of smart health features, including improved sleep tracking, enhanced heart rate zones, and more personalized fitness recommendations. It also brings a cleaner, faster UI experience with smoother animations, smarter layout organization, and more intuitive tiles. This version ships out of the box on the Galaxy Watch 8, Watch 8 Classic, and Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025).
Besides the Galaxy Watch 7 and Watch Ultra (2024), One UI 8 Watch will be available for the Watch 6, Watch 5, Watch 4, and Watch FE. Some of the older models may miss out on a few new features, though. We will let you know when Samsung rolls out this update globally.
