These Are the New Watch Faces You’ll Get on the Galaxy Watch 8 Series

The Galaxy Watch 8 and Watch 8 Classic are just around the corner, and yes, it looks like they’re bringing some fresh new watch faces with them. Thanks to the first One UI 8 Watch beta, we’re getting an early look at what’s in store. Spoiler: they look good. Really good.

Here are the Galaxy Watch 8’s new minimalistic faces

Thanks to our friends at Android Authority, we have a very clear look at the new watch faces for the Galaxy Watch 8. There are minimal faces, both in style and name, as these have names like Minimal Analog and Minimal Digital. There’s also an Interactive Number, with stretched zeroes and complications around the edge; a sporty look. And there is also a new complication heavy face called Gradient Info Board, with a total of eight slots and a gradient background. This also sports One UI 7’s new lock screen clock font.

The Watch 8 Classic also has some new faces

If you’re of the more traditional, classy type, then Samsung also has you covered. They have three fancier looking faces, the first being called Sporty Classic. Even further along the traditional scale is Heritage Classic, which has months and days around the circumference, similar to the Perpetual face we have today. Both of these have the signature Ultra orange colour, matching the orange action button on the Watch 8 Classic. The last face, Circle Info Board, is another complication heavy face, but with the colours toned down and the circular complications front and center. This also has eight slots in total.

Will these be available for older watches?

It is still early days, but some of these new watch faces will be available with the One UI 8 Watch update. The Classic styles may remain an exclusive however, just like the Watch Ultra’s faces aren’t available for the Watch 7 and older.
