Well, Samsung isn’t waiting for Galaxy Unpacked to show off new hardware. Samsung has quietly launched a new pair of wireless earbuds called the Galaxy Buds Core (h/t Ishan Agarwal). These are company’s most affordable true wireless earbuds yet, but they pack in some surprisingly premium features for the price.

Samsung’s Galaxy Buds Core are finally official at a surprisingly low price

The Galaxy Buds Core sit below the Galaxy Buds FE in Samsung’s lineup, but you’re still getting active noise cancellation, decent battery life, and Galaxy AI integration. The earbuds look a lot like the Buds FE, with wing tips for a secure fit and a familiar charging case design. They come in black and white colorways. Galaxy Buds Core goes on sale in India, starting tomorrow, at INR 4,999 ($59). The UAE product listing is also live, with an even cheaper price tag of 159 AED ($43).

Each earbud has three microphones to deliver what Samsung claims is “best-in-segment” call quality. The Buds Core use a new dynamic driver that Samsung says provides rich sound with powerful bass, although details on the audio hardware are minimal. There’s support for Bluetooth 5.4 and higher-quality audio codecs like AAC and Samsung Seamless Codec.

Battery life is solid for the price. Samsung promises up to 35 hours of use with the charging case when active noise cancellation is turned off, and up to 20 hours with ANC enabled. The case charges via USB-C. The earbuds are IP54 rated, making them resistant to dust and light splashes of water.

AI features are a big focus here too. The Buds Core include Galaxy AI’s Interpreter Mode, which delivers real-time, two-way translation directly through your earbuds during face-to-face conversations. There’s also support for voice call transcription and Galaxy ecosystem features like auto-switching between devices and integration with Samsung’s Find My service.

For now, the Galaxy Buds Core are only launching in India, but with Galaxy Unpacked around the corner, there’s always a chance Samsung could expand availability. At this price, and with this feature set, they could be a serious contender in the budget earbuds space if they launch globally.
