Galaxy Watch 8, Classic and Watch Ultra (2025) Leak in Fresh Images

Samsung’s next Unpacked is just about two weeks away. If leaks are accurate, the event will take place on July 9 in New York City. It will bring the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7, Flip 7 FE, Galaxy Watch 8, and Watch 8 Classic. Samsung is also gearing up to launch a 2025 refresh of its Galaxy Watch Ultra. Newly leaked images give us a fresh look at these watches, showing off the squircle design up close.

Galaxy Watch 8 series and Watch Ultra (2025) leaked in new renders

Shortly after dropping new renders showing off the full color range for the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Flip 7 FE, trusted leaker Evan Blass sent an email blast containing fresh renders of the Galaxy Watch 8, Watch 8 Classic, and Watch Ultra (2025). Each watch is shown in a single color: Black, White, and Blue, respectively.

As you can see, all three models sport the same squircle look as last year’s Watch Ultra — Samsung previously tried this design with the Gear Sport in 2017, but returned to its traditionally circular design for subsequent models. It looks like the company has now set its eyes on a squircle shape as the design identity for its watches. The display remains circular, though.

The return of the Classic model in the Galaxy Watch 8 lineup means the iconic bezel ring is back, too. The Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025), meanwhile, should be just a refresh with a new colorway and One UI 8 Watch out of the box. Meaning you get a chunkier body, a sturdier build, and a bigger battery.
