We Finally Know When Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7, Watch 8 Series May Launch

Samsung is gearing up for its July Unpacked event next month, where it will unveil a host of new devices. First up, we’ll see the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 launch. As for smartwatches, Samsung won’t just reveal two models but three, which include the Galaxy Watch 8, Watch 8 Classic, and the Watch Ultra (2025).

Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7, Watch 8 series, Watch Ultra (2025) tipped for July 9 launch

With just a few days to go until the launch, noted tipster Evan Blass has revealed the date for the July Unpacked event. According to Blass, Samsung’s Unpacked will take place on July 9 at 10 AM EDT / 7 AM PT. As expected, it’s shaping up to be a major keynote, where we’ll also see the debut of new software.

To recap, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 will launch running One UI 8 out of the box. Similarly, the Galaxy Watch 8, Watch 8 Classic, and Watch Ultra (2025) will come with One UI 8 Watch. Samsung has officially confirmed this, so it’s no longer just a rumor. We’re in for a range of upgrades.

Based on the schedule shared by Evan Blass, we can likely expect pre-order reservations to start as early as next week. That’s an educated guess, since Samsung typically opens reservations around two weeks in advance. If the pattern holds—as it usually does—reservations should open very soon.

Just yesterday, we also learned about the possible color options for the upcoming smartwatches. By now, you’ve probably seen the leaked renders of the Galaxy Watch 8 series and the Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025), since they’re no longer a secret. As for the biggest updates, they are expected on the Galaxy Z Fold 7, while the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is also set to launch with a noticeable redesign of the cover screen.
