Galaxy Z Fold 7 Screen Size Tipped Again Ahead of the Big Reveal

You probably know that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 are coming next month, along with Galaxy Watch 8 series. Samsung will likely host the next Unpacked event on July 10th in New York. There are plenty of signs that the launch of the foldables is imminent. Multiple indicators have confirmed this, including an official teaser and an app listing on Galaxy Store. Ahead of the event, a reliable analyst has confirmed the Galaxy Z Fold 7’s screen size.

Galaxy Z Fold 7 will receive a big screen upgrade, quite literally

Ross Young, a display industry veteran, has shared what could be the screen sizes for the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7. According to Young, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is “confirmed” to feature an 8.00-inch main display and a 6.49-inch cover screen. These dimensions match those of the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, which has been the subject of similar rumors for some time.

This aligns closely with previous leaks, including previous renders via OnLeaks and Android Headlines. Additionally, another reliable source confirmed that the Galaxy Z Fold 7’s display will be essentially the same as that of the Special Edition. However, they noted the Galaxy Z Fold 7 might feature slightly thinner bezels, potentially pushing the main screen size up to 8.2 inches.

At this point, it’s hard to say which report is spot on, since all the sources are pretty credible. But it’s definitely possible Samsung could trim down the bezels just enough to get that 8.2-inch display without a big redesign. Either way, we won’t have to wait long.

In related news, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 might come in four colors: Silver Shadow, Blue Shadow, Jet Black, and Coral Red. There’s also talk of a 16GB RAM variant. Whether that version will launch globally or just in select markets is still unclear.
