Galaxy F55, M55s & A05s Grab One UI 7 with May Security Patch

Samsung recently launched the One UI 8 beta based on Android 16, but it’s not finished rolling out One UI 7 just yet. Several Galaxy devices are still waiting for the Android 15-based update. The Galaxy F55, M55s, and A05s have now joined the list of devices that have received One UI 7.
One UI 7 rolls out to the Galaxy F55, M55s, and A05s
The Galaxy F55 and Galaxy M55s are among several premium mid-range smartphones Samsung launched in 2024, alongside the Galaxy A55 and M55. The latter two have already received One UI 7, and the former two join them today. The update is rolling out in India with the firmware build number E556BXXU4BYE7 for the F55 and M558BXXU2BYE7 for the M55s. The OTA (over the air) packages weigh 3.4GB and 3.3GB, respectively.
One UI 7 is also available for the Galaxy A05s, a budget phone launched in late 2023. The rollout begins in Asian markets like Thailand and Vietnam, with the update carrying the build number A057FXXU9DYE5. The OTA release for this phone weighs nearly 2.6GB. The May security patch is part of the package for all three phones.
All of these devices get a ton of new features with this update. One UI 7 brings several improvements focused on performance, privacy, and customization. You get additional lock screen customization with more layout options and widgets, smoother animations, cleaner visuals across the system, updated stock apps, new AI-driven experiences, and more. These enhancements aim to deliver a more intuitive and personalized user experience.
If you are using a Galaxy F55, M55s, or A05s, One UI 7 should be available for your phone shortly. While the former two will also get One UI 8 later this year, this is the final feature release for the A05s. Going forward, this budget phone will only get security patches, which will come at least until the end of 2027.
