Here’s Proof that Galaxy Z Flip 7 runs Exynos 2500 Globally

The Galaxy Z Flip 7 looks all set to ship with Samsung’s Exynos 2500 processor. The upcoming clamshell foldable recently surfaced on Geekbench running the unannounced 3nm chipset. More importantly, it’s the US version, suggesting that the Exynos chip will power the phone globally.

Rumors about the Galaxy Z  Flip 7 debuting the Exynos 2500 have been floating for a while. However, there were also talks about Samsung potentially ditching the plan and going ahead with the Snapdragon 8 Elite. These talks were tied to Samsung Foundry’s poor 3nm yield rates, the very reason that delayed the mass production of this chipset. The company originally planned to use it in the Galaxy S25 series.

Recently, some industry insiders suggested that Samsung has achieved a decent yield for the Exynos 2500 and is preparing to debut it with the Galaxy Z Flip 7. However, at that time, it looked like the phone wouldn’t run the in-house processor globally. The Exynos chip was said to power the foldable in most countries, but markets like the US and China could get a Snapdragon variant.

This Geekbench listing debunks those rumors, as the US version of the Galaxy Z Flip 7 (SM-F766U) appeared with the Exynos 2500. As earlier leaks suggested, the chipset (S5E9955) has a deca-core CPU featuring one prime core at 3.30GHz. It should be ARM’s Cortex-X925 CPU core. Additionally, the chip has two Cortex-A725 cores clocked at 2.75GHz, five Cortex-A725 cores at 2.36GHz, and two Cortex-A520 cores at 1.8GHz. It uses Samsung’s custom Xclipse 950 GPU based on AMD’s RDNA 3.5 architecture.

The Galaxy Z Flip 7 appeared with 12GB of RAM and Android 16 onboard, confirming that it will ship with One UI 8 out of the box. Expected to launch in July, this would be the first Samsung foldable to feature an in-house Exynos processor.
