Now Brief is exclusively available on Galaxy S25 series and chances are very slim that it will ever extend support to Galaxy S24 or earlier phones. For starters, it offers you a snapshot of useful daily information, including weather, calendar events, news, and missed calls. Now, Samsung is tossing in a Heads Up-inspired card within the Now Brief feed.

Now Brief takes cues from Digital Wellbeing’s Heads Up feature

In case you couldn’t recall, this feature builds on Google’s “Heads Up” functionality, originally launched in 2021 as part of Android’s Digital Wellbeing suite. While Google’s version sends real-time alerts when a user is walking and using their phone, Samsung takes a different approach by integrating this nudge into a daily summary interface. What’s common is both of them want you to not use your phone while walking. Yes, you!

Samsung has included a Heads Up-inspired card within this feed, as Android Authority reports. The card displays a message that reads: “For your safety, don’t look at your phone too much while you’re walking.” Below this prompt, it shows a percentage-based breakdown of how much of your walking time involved looking at your phone, based on the past week’s activity. A bar graph helps illustrate the point clearly.

I recently hurt my head on a metal signboard while walking and using my phone. I was looking for my cab, not paying attention, and walked straight into it. What happened next was I had blacked out for a second or two. I’ll personally recommend you to not use your phones much while walking.

Samsung’s card may seem like a small addition, but it can be a powerful wake-up call. If it helps even a few people stop walking into traffic poles, missing steps, or wandering into dangerous situations, it’s done its job.
