Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 show up in new images
Prominent casemaker Thinborne recently posted a bunch of images showing off the design of Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 up close. Well, the images are supposed to show Thinborne’s cases for the new foldables, but we also get a glimpse of the devices those skins will cover.
As earlier leaks revealed, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 will have a full-screen cover display, with cutouts for two cameras and an LED flash unit. This is a major design shift from the Flip 6’s folder-shaped cover screen. The new model puts the cameras within the display, increasing the overall screen space. We are looking at a display diagonal of almost 4 inches, up from 3.4 inches.
The Galaxy Z Fold 7’s camera housing is similar to its predecessor, with three cameras sitting in a vertical bumper on the back. Thinborne says the upcoming Samsung Fold is “finally the perfect foldable phone”. It does look incredibly thin, as rumors hint at an unfolded thickness of just 3.9mm, nearly 2mm slimmer than the Fold 6 (5.6mm). Even when folded, the Fold 7 measures just 8.9mm, only slightly thicker than the S24 Ultra (8.6mm).
These leaks indicate the nearing launch of Samsung’s 21025 foldable lineup. The company may hold its next Unpacked in New York in the first half of July. While the Korean firm also has an affordable Flip (Galaxy Z Flip FE) and a tri-fold in development, those two may not break cover this summer. Instead, Samsung may delay their launch until the fourth quarter of 2025. Stay tuned for more information.
