Samsung has teamed up with SoundHound AI to showcase AI-powered drive-thru and kiosk solutions at the National Restaurant Association (NRA) Show. The event will take place from May 17 through May 20 in Chicago. Those attending will be able to experience their innovative integrated technologies for quick-service restaurants.
For starters, SoundHound AI is a global leader in voice artificial intelligence. The company offers a voice AI platform that helps customers place orders quickly and easily. It works in several settings, such as drive-thrus, kiosks, and in-vehicle systems. So, partnering with Samsung will help the company showcase its AI-powered voice solution through Samsung products.
Samsung and SoundHound AI will showcase a smart restaurant solution
At the NRA Show booth, they will present the Dynamic Drive-Thru solution through a live demo from Burger King UK, Samsung announced in a joint statement. This solution integrates 55-inch Samsung OH Series Outdoor Signage and SoundHound’s voice AI platform. It will highlight how the ordering experience is both user-friendly and interactive.
They will let attendees use the Galaxy Tab S10+ that supports the Smart Answering and Employee Assist tool. Smart Answering offers an automated phone assistant for inbound calls, while Employee Assist provides instant support to restaurant staff.
They will show demos of SoundHound’s latest innovations, such as Voice Insights and Smart Lane, on 55-inch Samsung QBC Series 4 K UHD Displays. Voice Insights turns customer conversations into useful data, while Smart Lane speeds up service and reduces wait times.
SoundHound’s in-car voice commerce platform will allow drivers and passengers to order takeout directly from their car’s infotainment system. They will show how people can place real-time orders from SoundHound’s restaurant partners. On top of that, they will highlight how people can pay hands-free and get directions to the closest pickup location.
“Exceptional customer experiences are built on simplicity, efficiency and consistency — and that’s exactly what voice AI and digital displays deliver,” said Sara Grofcsik, Head of Sales, Display Division, Samsung Electronics America. “At this year’s National Restaurant Association Show, attendees can see how Samsung and SoundHound are transforming everyday moments like self-service ordering into seamless, memorable experiences. Together, we’re not just meeting expectations; we’re helping define the future of restaurant service.”
