Which Carrier Sends the Most RCS Messages Every Day in the US?

Just recently, Google announced an impressive milestone for RCS messaging in the US. According to which, over one billion RCS messages are sent daily across the country. That’s a huge achievement for this modern messaging standard. But which carrier is driving most of RCS traffic? Is it Verizon, AT&T, or T-Mobile?

According to a report from Android Authority, T-Mobile is the carrier responsible for the majority of RCS messages sent daily. “So far, in 2025 T-Mobile customers are sending an average of 613M RCS messages per day,” T-Mobile told the publication.

T-Mobile’s RCS message count includes not only its own customers but also users of several MVNOs (mobile virtual network operators) like Mint Mobile, Google Fi, and Metro, which operate on T-Mobile’s network. Combined, these users contribute to T-Mobile handling more than half of all daily RCS messages in the US, solidifying the carrier’s position as the dominant player in the RCS market.

Speaking to the publication, T-Mobile also explained that the carrier and its MVNOs were sending about 224.5 million RCS messages daily five years ago. That number has nearly tripled, reaching 613 million in 2025. This rapid growth highlights how quickly RCS adoption is expanding. Much of this surge can be attributed to Apple’s adoption of RCS messaging, which has paved the way for seamless communication between Android and iOS users.
