Galaxy Tab S8 series joins Samsung’s One UI 7 update party
Earlier today, Samsung rolled out One UI 7 for the Galaxy S22 series, Fold 4, Flip 4, and S23 FE. It is now pushing the update to the Galaxy Tab S8, Tab S8+, and Tab S8 Ultra. All of these devices are currently receiving One UI 7 in Samsung’s home country of South Korea. A global rollout should follow later this week or early next week.
One UI 7 is Samsung’s latest software update, built on Android 15, bringing a refreshed design, smarter AI features, deeper customization options, and improved performance across Galaxy devices. It introduces a cleaner interface, enhanced privacy controls, and tighter integration with Samsung’s ecosystem, offering a more intuitive and personalized user experience.
Korean Tab S8 users are picking up One UI 7 with the firmware build version DYDC. The OTA package for this update weighs around 4.6GB, though it can vary depending on the model, region, and carrier (for cellular units). The April security patch comes along with One UI 7 goodies, addressing dozens of vulnerabilities across all supported Galaxy devices.
Samsung has already released One UI 7 for the Galaxy S24, S24 FE, Galaxy S23, Fold 6, Fold SE, Flip 6, Fold 5, Flip 5, Tab S110, and Tab S9 in several global markets. The latest group of devices — Fold 4, Flip 4, S23 FE, Galaxy S22, and Tab S8 — should receive this update globally in the coming days. Samsung will also soon release One UI 7 for other eligible devices. We will keep you posted.
