You Can Now Buy Samsung’s Sonic-Themed microSD Cards in the US

Last month, Samsung partnered with SEGA to launch Sonic-themed microSD cards, each featuring unique designs of iconic characters from Sonic the Hedgehog. Now, these Sonic-themed microSD cards are officially available for purchase in the US.

As announced, Samsung’s PRO Plus series microSD cards now come in a Sonic the Hedgehog-themed lineup. They are available in four storage options: 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. Each card showcases a specific character: Knuckles on the 128GB card, Tails on the 256GB, Sonic on the 512GB, and Shadow on the 1TB option.

As for the pricing, the Sonic-themed PRO Plus microSD cards costs $23.99 for 128GB, $36.99 for 256GB, $68.99 for 512GB, and $125.99 for 1TB. Fans can now grab these special storage options directly from Samsung.com.

In terms of performance, these microSD cards deliver read speeds of up to 180MB/s and write speeds of up to 130MB/s. You can use them with handheld gaming consoles, smartphones, tablets, cameras, drones, and more. Alongside speed, they’re durable too. Samsung has rigorously tested them to ensure they withstand water, extreme temperatures, X-rays, and magnetic fields.

Additionally, the Sonic-themed microSD cards can endure drops from heights of over 16 feet (approx. 5 meters) and are rated for up to 10,000 swipes without degradation. Samsung also backs them with a 10-year limited warranty, so you can have added peace of mind.
