Which Galaxy Watches and Regions Will Get One UI 8 Beta?

The One UI 8 Watch beta is almost here. In just a few days, it could start rolling out to a range of Galaxy Watches. Today, Samsung announced and confirmed that the Wear OS 6-based One UI 8 Watch beta will launch later this month. Plus, the upcoming Galaxy Watch lineup will come pre-installed with One UI 8 Watch.
Right now, you’ll want to know if your Galaxy Wath is eligible for the One UI 8 Watch and whether the beta program will be available in your region. If you have a relatively new Galaxy Watch, you’re most likely going to get access to the beta program, but availability is limited to certain regions. Here’s what you need to know.
Which regions will receive the One UI 8 Watch beta?
Samsung has confirmed that the One UI 8 beta program will initially be available only in South Korea and the US. Although there’s no official announcement about expanding the beta to other regions yet, it’s possible that could happen later. Historically, Samsung has limited beta access to Galaxy Watch owners in these two countries, and so far, there’s no indication that this time will be any different.

Which Galaxy Watch models are eligible for the One UI 8 Watch beta?
The One UI 8 Watch will be available for more than six Galaxy Watch models. Unfortunately, if you own a Galaxy Watch 4 series, you’ll have to set aside any hopes of getting One UI 8 Watch. Samsung has confirmed that the beta program will only be available for the Galaxy Watch 5 series and later in the regions mentioned above. That means the following Galaxy Watches will have access to the beta program:
- Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro
- Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic
- Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra
This also raises questions about whether the Galaxy Watch 4 will receive the stable version of One UI 8 Watch. Recently, a report suggested that the Galaxy Watch 4 series may not get One UI 8 Watch at all. There’s no confirmation either way yet, but it’s something to keep in mind.
