‘Water Now Brief’ Setting Found in Samsung Health App

In the latest version of the Samsung Health app, we’ve made a new discovery. There’s a hidden setting called “Water Now Brief.” This feature hints at a future integration for tracking your daily water intake within Now Brief. We managed to enable the feature via a hidden settings menu. However, the corresponding “Water card” has yet to appear in Now Brief.
What is Water Now Brief?
Samsung’s Now Brief is an interface that displays relevant information based on your daily activities. It already integrates steps, active minutes, and burned calories from the Health. Samsung is now preparing to expand this integration to include hydration data with “Water Now Brief”. While the feature doesn’t seem active in the version of the app, this may be related to the version of Samsung’s Personal Data Intelligence running on our test device.
First impression and expectations
Based on the name and the existing Now Brief design, we’ve created an impression of what the water intake integration might look like (see below). Note: this image is not official and is merely a projection. The expected interface shows a simple card, and it would display the number of glasses of water you’ve consumed. This is similar to how steps and calories are presented.
The interface would likely include a visual indicator and sync with existing Samsung Health hydration logs. This would offer users a more consistent overview of their health stats, especially for those who already track their water consumption manually.
Although this addition may not seem groundbreaking, it does indicate that Samsung continues to invest in enhancing Now Brief. By consolidating more data into one clear interface, the feature becomes more valuable for users. For now, we’ll keep an eye on future updates to see when the Water Now Brief feature becomes publicly available and functional.
