These Samsung Galaxy Phones Now Support Auracast Feature

Earlier this year, Google announced support for Auracast, a new Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) technology, for select devices. The company has now expanded support to include more headphones and smartphones, including the latest Galaxy phones. This allows Samsung users to broadcast high-quality audio from their phones to multiple nearby compatible devices simultaneously.

Google expands Auracast support to more devices

With LE Audio for Android phones and paired devices, Google aims to make an inclusive audio experience for everyone. In its blog post, Google wrote, “We’re expanding LE Audio Auracast support to more devices and introducing a new way to share audio to multiple headphones”. The company says Sony headphones now gain Auracast compatibility, joining other supported devices such as the JBL Tour One M3, Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, and Sennheiser Accentum True Wireless.

Furthermore, it also shared an updated list of Samsung phones that now support Auracast broadcasts, adding several Galaxy S and Z series models. These include the Galaxy S23, S24, and S25 smartphone lines, as well as the Galaxy Z Fold 5, Z Fold 6, and Z Fold 7. These devices can now take advantage of the new feature.

For the uninitiated, Auracast lets you share your phone’s audio with nearby devices such as the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. Your friends can listen to your music playlist, podcast, or video if they have compatible headphones. The good thing is that you can protect your broadcast with a password so that others can not join.

Your friends can connect their headphones by scanning a QR code or tapping with Google’s Fast Pair. This means if you find a new song, your friend can listen with you without sharing your earbuds. With a group, you can create a private broadcast and transform your get-together into a silent disco, where everyone enjoys the same playlist on their own headphones.
