It seems Samsung isn’t delaying the One UI 7 rollout. The week began with the update reaching Galaxy S23 FE devices in regions outside the US. Right on schedule, T-Mobile’s carrier-locked Galaxy S22 Ultra units in the US have also started receiving the Android 15-based One UI 7 update.

T-Mobile carrier-locked Galaxy S22 Ultra units snag One UI 7 update

Even though the unlocked Galaxy S22 Ultra received the One UI 7 update in the US last week, select carrier-locked units were still waiting. T-Mobile’s devices were among them. Now, the wait is finally over. T-Mobile has started rolling out the One UI 7 update for its carrier-locked Galaxy S22 series in the US.

Based on a tip we received, the update is currently available for the Galaxy S22 Ultra. Presumably, the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ will follow shortly. You can check if the update is available for your device by heading to Settings > Software update > Download and install.

One UI 7 is a pretty major update by all standards. It brings a bunch of new features to your Galaxy device. For starters, you’ll notice smoother animations, a redesigned interface, and a wide range of feature additions. One standout change is the new pill-shaped Now Bar, which is expected to get more enhancements in One UI 8. If you liked using One UI 6, you’re likely to find One UI 7 an even better experience.

That said, a good number of devices have already received the update. Samsung has completed the One UI 7 rollout for all its flagship phones. However, there are still plenty of devices left to be updated, mainly mid-rangers and a few others. The rollout is expected to continue through July.

You can also check out the full list of devices that have already received the One UI 7 update.

Thanks for the tip, @RobertCFP!
