Some Galaxy Z Fold 7 Users Report Green Line Issues on Main Display

It looks like some Galaxy Z Fold 7 users are experiencing green line issues on the main displays. While it’s unclear how widespread the problem is, we have come across two reports so far sharing a similar experience. Samsung has yet to comment on this matter, leaving fans speculating about the possible cause.
Green lines appear on the main display of the Galaxy Z Fold 7
In July 2025, Samsung launched its latest book-style foldable device, the Galaxy Z Fold 7, alongside the Z Flip 7 and Z Flip FE. The company saw massive demand for the devices during the pre-order period, mainly for the Fold model. Despite its premium price tag, the Fold 7 sold like hot cake thanks to major upgrades in design, durability, and features.
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 sports an 8-inch Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X main display. It supports a peak brightness of around 2,600 nits, a 120Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+. There’s a 6.5-inch cover screen as well, providing a bar-phone-like experience without unfolding the device.
However, like other AMOLED display devices, regardless of brand, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is not immune to display anomalies. Tipster @yabhishekhd recently shared an image of the latest Samsung foldable showing two horizontal green lines on the folding screen. As you can see in the image below, the first line appeared slightly below the middle of the screen, while the second line was at the bottom.
While the tipster claims that the affected user has shared this display issue experience with him, they did not post about how the green line appeared. This raises questions as to whether it was after a recent software update, a physical drop, or something else. However, common triggers for green lines on a display are usually tied to hardware rather than software.
Last month, another affected user took to the Samsung Community to report a similar issue. However, the service center agreed to replace the display under warranty. Still, it’s not the experience the user wants from a premium foldable smartphone. Hopefully, it does not become a widespread issue as the device reaches more customers in the coming months.
