So Many Things Are Wrong With Trump Mobile’s T1 Phone

If you’ve been following along, you probably know about President Trump’s ambitious plan to launch a phone and carrier that remind you where you live — and who your president is — every time you pick up the phone. Trump Mobile’s T1 phone is supposedly launching this month, which means every teaser gets a little more attention than it probably deserves.
Trump Mobile’s T1 phone now looks a lot like Samsung, and that’s the least disturbing part
Today, Trump Mobile posted a new banner on X, and it’s about as subtle as a campaign rally: “PRE-ORDER THE T1 PHONE!” it screams. That’s a shift from the original promo still sitting on trumpmobile.com, which showed a device that looked like an iPhone handed down through seven different owners across seven different continents.

The new look, though, leans less Apple and more Samsung. A lot more Samsung. If you squint — or even if you don’t — the T1 might as well be a Galaxy Ultra with a different badge. Which, to be honest, wouldn’t be the strangest thing about this whole rollout.
Because if you zoom in on the American flag tucked under the T1 branding, you’ll spot another familiar mark: Spigen’s logo. Yes, that Spigen. The case-maker quickly noticed and responded on X with two words that sum up the situation pretty well: “lawsuit incoming…”

“It feels like a parody at the moment”
And honestly, it’s not hard to see why. The teaser looks less like a product render and more like someone at Trump Mobile grabbed a Spigen Galaxy S25 Ultra image, dropped it into Photoshop, slapped on a flag and a logo, and called it a day.
The T1 may launch this month, but right now it feels less like a new competitor and more like a parody of one. If Trump Mobile wants to be taken seriously, it’ll need more than slogans and recycled renders. And look… I don’t hate the idea of Trump Mobile. I really don’t. But what the [edited] is that phone? Should we buy one of these to review, just for kicks? Let us know over on X!
