Just yesterday, Samsung said that Ballie would make a special appearance on stage this week. And now, the company has opened the signup form that allows users to receive the latest updates about Ballie. This suggests the AI robot’s market release is indeed happening later this week, though the company did not mention it clearly in its teaser video.
Samsung’s Ballie signup page is now live in the US
Today, Samsung US added a signup form on its website saying, “Ballie is more than a home robot, it’s your buddy. Sign up to receive the latest updates on your new buddy, Ballie.” So, if you are waiting for Ballie and want to know more about it, such as its availability, you should sign up just by submitting basic information like your Name and Email. It is worth noting that this form is not for pre-reserving the Ballie, but signing up now may ensure you receive those updates as soon as the company makes them available.
Right now, the signup form is limited to the US only — Samsung has not opened signups in other countries. That’s not surprising, as the company previously confirmed that Ballie would be available for purchase in the first half of 2025 in the US. However, we are hopeful the AI robot will gradually become available in other markets as well, depending on users’ response and market demand.
Unfortunately, we do not have any details regarding Ballie’s price at the moment. As far as specifications are concerned, the little machine has several mechanical components. It uses a lighting control sensor and a location recognition sensor, paired with a microphone for voice and sound recognition.
The robot is equipped with cameras that recognize the user. It also has a speaker and a built-in projector. The projector works for both short and long distances. There is an anti-fall mechanism with more sensors for face recognition and spatial recognition. Samsung uses an obstacle avoidance sensor so that it does not bump into objects. The robot also supports NFC connectivity.
