Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Fold 7 are starting to generate buzz in the industry, and that signals a nearing launch. The devices could go official in early July, so we are just over two months away from the next-gen foldables. Ahead of that, telecom companies have started preparing for their arrival, as both new models recently surfaced on a telecom firm’s website.
Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Fold 7 appear on a telecom firm’s website
Recently, we came across a telecom listing of devices that support eSIM on its network. The massive list of devices included the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7, complete with their marketing name and model numbers. We already know that they bear the model numbers SM-F966 and SM-F766. But the telecom firm went on to list all the regional variants as well.
As you can see in the screenshots below, there are multiple variants of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7. These include the global (B), Korean (N), US carrier-locked (U), US carrier-unlocked U1), Canadian (W), and global dual-SIM variants (DS). This means the two foldables will launch globally in July, not that there was a doubt earlier.
The same listing also gave us a surprising new name for Samsung’s upcoming affordable foldable. Originally expected to be called the Galaxy Z Flip FE, it could now arrive as the Galaxy Z Flip Xe. We are still unsure if that’s the actual marketing name, though.
Alongside the Fold 7, Flip 7, and Flip FE/Xe, Samsung has a tri-fold in the works. However, not all of them may debut at the upcoming summer Galaxy Unpacked event. Earlier today, a report revealed that Samsung may hold the next Unpacked in New York in early July, possibly on July 9. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Fold 7 will be the stars of the show, but whether the other two accompany them, time will tell.
