Samsung Wants To Make It Easier to Share Health Data With Doctors

Samsung yesterday announced a new set of health features coming to Galaxy Watches with the upcoming One UI 8 Watch. The beta program for Galaxy Watches will begin later this month, as confirmed by Samsung. The upcoming Galaxy Watch models will ship with One UI 8 Watch out of the box. Meanwhile, Dr. Hon Pak from Samsung sat down with Bloomberg to share some exciting updates on the company’s health-related innovations.
Samsung’s Dr. Hon Pak talks about new health data sharing features
Dr. Hon Pak told Bloomberg that Samsung is creating a new health hub to make it easier to share health data from Samsung devices with your doctor. It will also help you follow your doctor’s advice between visits. The goal is to give users a better understanding of their health and make it easier to manage ongoing conditions. You can say that Samsung wants the health hub to act as a bridge between checkups.
“We think there’s a responsibility and a potential for bringing the experience into an ecosystem so that the users have a more simple experience rather than having 10 different apps to manage your condition,” Pak said. “Every incremental improvement to daily habits contribute to a healthier whole, and the upcoming One UI 8 Watch is designed to help build these habits more effectively through a suite of new features that support sleep, heart health, fitness and nutrition.”
Additionally, the upcoming One UI 8 Watch update will introduce Antioxidant Index, Bedtime Guidance, Running Coach, and Vascular Load. Apart from health-related features, you can expect to see some system-wide tuning, UI revamp, and more new features coming along. Naturally, we’re looking forward to trying out the beta before it officially rolls out with the Galaxy Watch 8 series and the Galaxy Watch Ultra in 2025.
