Samsung Wallet Now Supports One More Bank in India

Samsung Wallet is one of the best apps available on Galaxy phones, and that’s largely because the company keeps adding useful new features. The latest update brings support for AU Small Finance Bank cards to Samsung Wallet. AU Visa Credit Card users can now use Tap & Pay on any NFC-enabled Galaxy phone, or Galaxy Watch for that matter.

Samsung Wallet now supports AU Small Finance Bank debit and credit cards in India

Those who already use Samsung Wallet in daily lives might already know how this will work. But those who don’t, you can simply add your AU Visa Credit Card to Samsung Wallet and tap your Galaxy phone at an NFC POS machine. The move removes the need to carry a physical card while still offering the standard speed. In addition, AU’s debit cards are also supported for those who don’t like the idea of credit cards at all.

The partnership comes at a time when Samsung Wallet is steadily becoming more capable in India. Over the past month, Samsung added biometric authentication for UPI payments and introduced digital key support for Mahindra eSUVs. Here’s what key executives from Samsung and AU Small Finance Bank said about the partnership.

Samsung India’s Senior Director of Services & Apps Business, Madhur Chaturvedi, said in a statement:

With Mobile Tap & Pay, we are enabling AU Small Finance Bank customers to make seamless and secure payments directly from their Galaxy smartphones — anytime, anywhere.”
